The beginning of the end
This New Year's Eve day began with preparations for the big Sun Bowl party. Last minute sandwich making and drink chilling took most of the morning because I also had to go the the recycle center and the church to deliver a letter. We waited for the families Durkin, Jones, Newcomer, and Edge. The other Waters could not come because Don had to pay his farm hands that day. We all sat down with beer and sodas to watch Purdue play Arizona State. During the second quarter I had to go get the charro beans a friend was making for us. We ate snacks until halftime and then had mefellato and boudin/andouilli sandwiches. Everyone pigged out and then watched the roller coaster second half, featuring a victory by ASU. The Purdue offense was just stifled by ASU. We barely had time to get to the church service at 7:00. We came home and changed clothes for the dance at the hall. It was a very good time drinking and dancing with the same people we spent the afternoon with. We had a lunch at 10:30. Isn't it amazing how much people can eat during holidays? We were a bit more prudent, taking our lunches home for eating later. We always leave NYE dances early to avoid the amorous advances of slobbering old men at midnight. I just don't care to put my wife through that. I like to be her one slobbering old man. I think she likes it too because she always leaves with me. This was the beginning of the end of 2004. Have a blessed 2005.
