After the walk/jog and exercise in the park, we went to the park meeting. I told a joke about doing nice things for the wife today like opening the door for her as she puts clothes in the washing machine and moving the plug to the vacuum as she moves from room to room. It got a few laughs. We came home, cleaned up and began to celebrate Valentine's Day. Then I went to the bank and returned for lunch. I did small jobs until 3:00 when the Durkins picked us up for our trip to McAllen. We went to the newest HEB grocery there, to Sally's Beauty Supply, Tuesday Morning to get a gift certificate for Emily's 40th birthday (our younger daughter), and to the Remington Steak House for our long anticipated dinner. But no. For the second time we were thwarted. We couldn't order from the menu because they were featuring a Valentine's buffet for $24.95. We decided that was too expensive, so we went down the road to Black-eyed Pea and had a nice dinner. We all shared an appetizer and Evelyn and I shared a dinner. We came back here for some Key Lime pie or a brownie. Then to bed for a busy day tomorrow.
