A Blessed message

We went to worship and the choir sang. But the highlight was the pastor's sermon, one of the finest I have ever heard. He spoke on the parable of the pearl merchant who found the pearl of great value. He pointed out that Christ was indeed that pearl from our point of view, and we should forego all for Him, but that we are that great pearl in God's eyes because He gave His all just so He could purchase us back even though He had made us. Great stuff! Praise God for His mercy and Grace. We then went to lunch with some friends who had complimentary tickets to Folkmoot. This is the 23rd annual event in Haywood County that brings dancers from many countries (ten this year) to perform. The perform folk dances in costumes and are quite accomplished. Most of them are lively and enjoyable. The Orientals are usually subdued and delicate. The Folkmoot lasts from July 18 through 30 this year.
