Rain on the parade
We arose to a torrential rain and a call from Casterline’s saying they were not interested in going to Asheville. Since we couldn’t walk, we finished the repair of the vinyl card table I had made a hole in. The repair is not professional but will do. We had leftovers for lunch which included some of Shirley's nachos from last evening. We had promised John Knight we would try the hot sauce Evelyn had won in Sydney this week. I mistakenly thought it could be used as a sauce for the nachos. Blunder royale! I have never had anything burn my mouth quite so much. I read the label and learned it was mostly habenero peppers. It is something to be used sparingly when preparing a salsa or soup. What a lesson to be learned the hard way. We spent the remainder of the day watching movies. We also called Anthem, the drug supplier for Evelyn, and ordered more prescription drugs. In addition we were blessed with a call from Dr. McClelland’s office saying that we had appointments September 2 at 4:20 and 5. We thank God for those blessings. We went to the potluck/Bible study and learned more of the history of the Lutheran churches. We came right home and went to bed. I will take the car in for repair in the morning and then perhaps will go to Asheville if Shirley will drive
