A most blessed meal

What a wonderful worship service we had this morning! We were blessed to share the Lord’s Body and Blood. It is a blessing to worship with so many people who understand the depth of the love of Christ when He gives us His very Body and Blood to sustain us. We all really were filled with the Spirit. I mentioned that this should be one of the happiest times in the week and it was fine to act happy. They seemed quite excited about knowing that happiness is a part of Holy Communion. In the Bible study the people expressed their appreciation of the worship services I plan and lead. I know it is the Lord who they are thanking, but it feels good anyway. I just thank Him for giving me such loyal, loving people to serve. We came home and had the carryout portion of our two for one fajita dinner we had last night. Evelyn is trying to keep our food intake down, but we had far more than we should have; Afterward we took a walk around the park and then took a nap. We did some organizing of our folders and discarded much of the papers we had accumulated here. We only made a dent. We went for a bike ride to relax. The weather is just delightful. It is sunny and cool; a jacket is comfortable especially while riding. But it is wonderful in the sun while standing still. I had volunteered to serve ice cream for the park. Each Sunday evening, the park residents are able to pay $.50 for all the ice cream they want. We have men volunteer to serve, and I was one this evening. We get free ice cream that I brought home to Evelyn. I preferred to have beer and popcorn. We watched some movies on TV during the rest of the evening. Evelyn called a friend in Fort Wayne as did I. Running hard tomorrow.
