Fun only at work, not at golf

Wednesday the truck delivers supplies. A strong young man comes in to put the heavy boxes on the shelves, in the cooler and the freezer. I could do that but not as fast nor as efficiently as he. I just do my regular stuff. Today was a bit different in that someone had spread a great deal of trash on the parking lot. I just dooed my duty as I seed it. I had a good time today as Kara joked with me and the others more than usual. I also had to leave early to take Evelyn to a style show at Lake Junaluska. She had spent the morning at church having maps copied for tomorrow’s lesson. I dropped her off and came home to have lunch of leftover barbecue and cobbler. I just showered and laid around until 2 when I went to bring her home. She changed clothes, and we went off to Iron Tree to play golf. Things have not improved--at least on the front 9. I did do better on the back but can’t get any consistency in my play. I should give the game up but have not been known for my prudence. We came home for a light supper before going to choir. We had decided to go Asheville to the baseball game and asked the Loyers to go with us. They called later and agreed. We will eat at the ball park. Phil will meet us there after he gets off work. We will take Nan and she will come home with him. We came home and Evelyn put the finishing touches on her lesson. We also watched the first of the four videos on the book of Acts. I also tried to watch some of the Cubs game on the computer. I couldn’t finish because I had to go to bed to have enough strength to go to work tomorrow.
