Work for the Lord
Friday we went to church to help price the items for tomorrow's lawn sale. We spent 2 1/2 hours there, and Evelyn got a bit dizzy. We had planned to leave at noon but didn't make it that far. We stopped at the grocery on the way home, but Evelyn stayed in the car. We came home and she went to lie down while I put something together for lunch. After that, Evelyn went back for a nap. I spent the afternoon reading and answering e-mail. I just lost a cousin this week and may have lost someone closer than that. I also paid some credit bills on line. This always takes me a long time because it is hard to get on the web sites necessary. We then had snacks for supper while we watched my sports shows. It had cooled off a bit from the 90 degree mark, so we walked over to our friends in Cypress Loop, the Rogers. We had not seen much of them all spring and wanted to reestablish our friendship. We took a beer, soda and some chips and salsa so we weren't just dropping in without any gifts. We had a delightful visit and made plans to go to dinner tomorrow evening. Evelyn wants to go to Asheville to get some dancing shoes with a friend tomorrow afternoon--after we work at the sale at church.
