cleaning up after teenagers
We weren’t able to sleep as late as I thought we would. We were eating breakfast and at work cleaning the motor home by 9. We had to empty everything out that we had taken along. We were very methodical, beginning at the front cupboards and working toward the back. We parked so that we could put both slides out on either side of a tree in the neighbor’s yard. We then cleaned out our items from the lower compartments. We had to clean up many scraps the boys had left and found some items they had inadvertently left and will want back. We were blessed in that the AC worked on the shore power from the house instead of blowing a circuit. It was hot so we ran the AC a while and then turned it off while I vacuumed the floors. We did this in stages so that we could cool things down periodically. We had things removed and the floors cleaned and spotted with 409 by noon. We stopped and ate lunch. We then decided to take a nap before continuing. When we wakened we were blessed with a wonderful rain shower that lasted for at least 3 hours. This allowed us to put some of the things away that we had brought in. When the rain let up, we returned to make the bed, wash out the refrigerator and mop the floor. I also took some of the things from the outside compartments that we had taken and bought along the way. We finished around dark (after I tried to wash some of the dirt from the outside) and came back to relax for the evening. We ate more leftovers for supper, and I spent some time making reservations for out stay in Lexington week after next. We need this reservation for 1 night and will stay in the convention hotel for the other 3 nights. We also called Sheffield’s and made arrangements to return the motor home tomorrow.
