nice gardens and good friends

For some reason we both wakened at 6:30 and were hungry. We slipped on some clothes and went to the breakfast room. We enjoyed some biscuits and gravy, waffles, and juice. We returned to the room, nd Evelyn went back to bed for a nap while I loaded some pictures into the computer since I had forgotten to do that last night. Then we showered and began packing for the next leg of the trip. I took the plants out of the trailer for some sunlight and warm water. I took some from the room since it had stopped raining. We drove back to the museum and walked around the outer gardens for an hour. Then we went to the gift shop and bought a Bible study we might use in Texas. We left there and proceeded toward Decatur. I called my friend Ned Knape and asked if we could spend the night at his home. We were a day early for the Grotrians who were at the homecoming game. We stopped for lunch at a closed motel, having spotted a picnic table. The owner said we could use it. We stood out in a cold wind and finished off some more of our traveling food before continuing to Decatur. We arrive a bit earlier than expected, unloaded what we needed and left for out favorite pizza place, Pizza King. We have only found this pizza in Indiana and love it. We all enjoyed the buffet and returned to Ned and Orpha’s. It was then that Evelyn discovered that her make up bag was missing. I went out, searched the car and returned with the news that we must have left it at the motel. We went to bed around 10 since the World Series game had started late.
