2 pleasant surprises

We were off to worship and were blessed to find 61 in attendance. There were even 8 people new to the park. After the service I learned that I have received a raise. I will be given all of the collection money instead of $65. It was a nice surprise. I had another surprise in that the lay minister who will replace me while we are on our trip came down for the winter. We talked a while and I sent him an e-mail of some of the things he might be able to use. We came home after church and Evelyn put some enchiladas in the oven for my lunch, and I went to Church’s Chicken to get her lunch of a 2 for 1 2 piece combo. We ate and then I made Evelyn take a nap. I checked the bathroom sink and found the hot water line now leaks. I tried to tighten the fitting and added some mighty putty. That seemed to work at least for a while. We packed for a short while and then went for a bike ride before coming in for the evening. I made popcorn for our meal and we watched 2 movies before 10. I tried to order some medicine for myself because I will run out before we leave but can’t get any until the 17th. I will have to get a month’s supply from the local pharmacy.
