Football woes
It rained hard during the night, but it was only sprinkling when we arose. It was very chilly though when we left for the monthly weigh in at Weight Watchers. The weight was up a bit, partly due to the heavier clothes. I went to a local farmer’s marked and bought 5 butternut squash. We had planned to go to a craft sale downtown Waynesville but determined it to be too cold and rainy. Instead we went to the one indoor at the fairground. We found 2 books by a local author and bought them as gifts. We came home, ate lunch, and settled in to watch Purdue get stomped again. Then we waited for a call to come to the church and decorate the tables for tomorrow’s German dinner. I have sold all 12 of the tickets I was given, not including the 2 we will buy. She wasn’t gone long but I had already started walking to take a dessert to our ME friends who are in the rehab center around the corner. As I was leaving Evelyn came home and then went on to walk the lake. I would have gone with her but didn’t make that clear. I watched some of the Ohio State/Wisconsin football game. I also made popcorn for supper. We usually have that for Sunday’s supper but will have German food tomorrow. Frieda returned from Greenville with some wine I asked her to bring. She brought 6 shiraz and 6 chardonnay for $46. That is less than $4 per bottle and is delicious. Evelyn engaged in her favorite activity: making a dessert, this time of apples. I watched some of the Michigan/Iowa football game before retiring early.
