More football prep

We walked very early because it was very cool. We came home and I cleaned the carport while Evelyn cut some of the blossomless Black Eyed Susans. I used the leaf blower and got most of the grass clippings that gathered during the summer. Evelyn got covered with “nettles” and spent a lot of time picking them off her pant legs We came in for lunch and then rested during the afternoon. After choir practice, Evelyn dusted and I vacuumed the carpets. We are almost ready for Saturday.
Evelyn took me to the golf course where I met Phil who walked all 18 holes with me. He is still sore from the rod that was in his shoulder. He was able to do a small amount of short chipping and some putting. I did fairly well on the first 14 holes but really fell apart on the final ones. I think I shot 14 on one hole because I got caught in some trees. Evelyn walked around the lake after dropping me off and then went to lead her Bible study. Phil brought me home and we drank a beer and ate a corn dog after going under the house to look at our water heater. He didn’t know of anyone specific to call so he tried to help me. I will have to call an electrician to check things out if the connection requires me to reset the system again. I had lunch with Evelyn and then watered the flowers before taking my shower. My legs, which had felt very good this morning, were now quite tired. I spent the afternoon with them elevated. We ate supper on the deck because the temperature had decreased dramatically. I had cooked the boudin for Saturday while Evelyn prepared a squash dish for supper. She then mopped the tile floors while I polished her shoes. I watched some of the OSU/Marshall football game.
