Literary tragedy

I slept late and didn’t attend worship for the first time in many months. I didn’t sleep badly last night but was still tired. I have taken my temperature over the past few days and never have had a fever. We had lunch and then I watched football while finishing my first sermon. Then, as I was copying it into my flash drive, I deleted it. That was about 5 hours of work lost in cyberspace. Perhaps the Lord didn’t like it. I will have to try again this week. We took a bike ride around both of our parks in the warm, pleasant afternoon. We then spread some mulch in the back before coming in to make popcorn for supper. Of course we had to take a nap before that. Evelyn talked with Emily for a while, but the phone went dead while she was talking. I tried to watch the VHS of the Bible study we plan to use Tuesday, but our VCR doesn’t work. I tried cleaning the heads but couldn’t get any results. I really missed worshipping this morning.
