severe temperature plummet
We wakened and Evelyn was off to exercise in upper 60 degree weather. I stayed home and prepared breakfast for her. She returned and showered to prepare for the square dance. We arrived a bit late but were the couple who made 2 squares. I forgot to mention that around 9:30 the flood that was supposed to arrive around 3 had arrived. It even rained a bit as we went into the dance. We danced for the remainder of the 2 hours and then went home for lunch. At 1 the other women on the decoration committee took her to look for decorations. She didn’t return until 3, giving her just enough time to relax before going to the first of the 2 parties we were invited to. We just visited a bit for an hour before leaving for the 2nd. We wanted to have the good meal at Lloyd and Marilyn’s because they are excellent cooks and were planning to serve famous fish dishes they make. They bring pickerel (walleye) from Canada each year and serve it to many friends. This was their 3rd party this past 8 days. The appetizer was fantastic as was the main entrée of deep fried fish. The dessert was ice cream covered with raisin sauce. Lloyd makes his own Irish crème and we enjoyed a small bit of that. We came home and Evelyn began preparing for her brunch party tomorrow morning. The temperature had dropped 20 degrees in about 20 minutes this morning and another 10 by the time we got home this evening. It is now 44 headed for 30.
