Cold baseball game

Thursday is our busy day this week. Evelyn had Bible study at the church, and Phil Loyer and I played golf. It was the first time I have really used my motorized golf cart. It sure looks better when someone else is using it. I played fair on the front 9 but miserably on the back, despite parring two holes. Controlling the cart sometimes required my guiding it with the handle which pulled the muscle in my back. When I used the remote control, the cart sometimes ignored my commands causing me to run after it to make it stop. I will have to practice more with it. Phil brought me home and had lunch of chili with me. I then showered and lay down for a nap. I was exhausted. But we weren’t finished. Evelyn went for a haircut while I waited for Phil and Joanne to come to pick us up. When Evelyn arrived (looking lovely), we drove to Asheville. We had planned to go to the restaurant that sponsors “Thirsty Thursday” for supper but couldn’t find a place to park. We guessed that they were having a big Cinco de Mayo party, judging by the way some of the young people were dressed. We went on to have a sandwich at the ballgame. We ate outside at some picnic tables around the outside of the ball diamond and experienced a drop of the temperature. It got colder throughout the game, but we were all dressed for the chill. The game was very good for the Tourists. Three of the young boys hit homeruns. We left before the end because the score was 10-2 and that was the way it ended. We were home by 10:25.
