dancing all over Louisiana
We were up early waiting for Simon, but he had called saying he couldn’t go with us. We drove to Mamou alone to dance in Fred’s lounge. I thought there were fewer people there at 9, but the place was packed by 11. We drove back to the motel for a nap, skipping lunch. Evelyn wanted to go somewhere so we went to walk around in the warm afternoon. We returned for a short nap and then searched for things to do in the evening. We went to Breaux Bridge for dinner and then to La Pussiere, a dance hall Simon had taken me to in 1969. We had a great time and met some people from El Campo, TX to dance with. We were able to talk with the girls for a short while and learned that Andrew will likely go to the University of Kentucky.
