Exciting day of golf

Marty and I played golf at Smokey Mountain Country Club on a lovely summer day.  We left here at 8 and began play at 9:30.  The course begins much like any other but changes at hole 3.  There are many large patches of weeds followed by Tee boxes high above the green.  The cart paths are twisty and steep.  We played faster than we had anticipated and ate lunch a bit earlier than anticipated.  We were finished by noon and back on the course.  The second 9 is a bit easier, but I often play better then.  Marty gets tired after 15.  We returned home by 3 to find Evelyn changing some of our living room decorations.  We still had autumn décor.  She had cleaned many of the curtains in the bedroom.  We got some rain in late afternoon and evening.  We hadn’t had any for a while and still didn’t get too much.  Our garden needs more.  I watched the season premier of one of my favorite TV shows: Burn Notice before going to bed.  We have also been collecting items of science for use in our vacation Bible school next week.
