The 3rd Sunday of the month.

We were up and off to Bible study early.  We were blessed with our discussion.  The group is small but sincerely hungry for God’s Word.  Our choir meets at 10:10 to rehearse our anthem for the day.  I had a quasi solo and always need to practice first since I don’t read music.  I must have done well.  We were blessed with Holy Communion this morning.  We were also blessed to have a young family with 4 small sons visit our church.  We made a point of talking with them.  A friend from church nearly always brings us some of his home grown vegetables.  Today it was some tomatoes and squash.  I gave ours to the young family.  One of the German ladies who worships with us invited us to lunch after church next Sunday.  We accepted.  The German dinner tickets were ready to sell, so we took 20.  The dinner is scheduled for October 7.  We also signed up to help with various jobs before, during and after the dinner.  It will be a very busy weekend.  We came home for lunch and rest.  I did get to the neighbors and sold 4 tickets.  We went to the monthly band concert in Maggie Valley where we met some friends from church who save seats for us.  The theme this month was movie music.  We always enjoy the concerts.  We have a big week coming up.  We will eat out almost every night.  We came home and watched the movie, “Ali”.  We had hoped to talk with Emily on the phone, but they are very busy.  They may have even been skyping with Andrew.
