Acting on my conscience
I wanted to take some items to be recycled Thursday (one of the two days the center is open), so I did around 10. I also went to Lowes to pay for the other bag of mulch yesterday. The young man thanked me for my honesty, but I told him Jesus kept poking me in the ribs or I would have just forgotten about it. I don’t want to usurp undo credit. I came home and worked a while before lunch. John came to work on my amended tax return for 2010 since the preparer had made a mistake. He worked for nearly 4 hours while I made copies for him and cleaned up my desk. We had planned to go to the happy hour dance from 3-5, but he didn’t leave until 4:45. I certainly wouldn’t complain. He is wonderful to even do it. We watched Special Report until supper time when we ate a small portion of leftover Subway sandwiches from Tuesday’s Bible study. Evelyn left for the LWML meeting, leaving me alone to watch Purdue men lose to Michigan, Purdue women squeak past Northwestern and practice the message for next Sunday.
