Leading Worship
Sunday found us resuming our worship at Trail’s End. The service went smoothly although the sermon was too deep and complicated. There were 15 people in attendance, and they were very generous in their offering. We went to the brunch that is served every fortnight. I saw many others at the brunch who didn’t know we had resumed services. They said they would be there next week. We came home and changed clothes but ate no lunch because we had eaten a large omelet. I worked on next weeks sermon and watched some of the football games. It was in the 80s and humid so we stayed inside much of the day. We did go for a bike ride later in the afternoon. I had to call my computer technician, Ray, in Kansas to get help with my Microsoft Works because I could not get page numbers to insert where I wanted them. I still can’t exactly, but he did figure out how to get them into the header and repeat. I am eager to have him arrive here for the winter. They will come after Christmas. I also updated the format for service and chose the hymns. I tried to send them via e-mail to the pianist for next week but don’t have the correct address. I made popcorn for our evening meal and watched Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy. I did switch back and forth to the Chargers/Raiders football game but stuck with the shows that Evelyn likes. I watch the things I want most of the week but Sundays are hers. It is good to have most of the sermon so far along because we have a demanding social schedule this week. J We have to start by attending the park meeting tomorrow morning and make announcements about volunteers we need. I am in charge of parking at the upcoming craft sale, and Evelyn needs gifts for the women in the colonia that our park is adopting for the season.
