Shindig on the Green in Asheville, NC.

Clogging groups wear colorful outfits.

This is the best clogging group we have ever seen! Total synchronization.

Hundreds of people enjoying the Shindig

Some groups came from Cleveland, SC.

We were up at 7:45 and went to walk. We returned to the craft sale at the fairgrounds across the highway. Evelyn found an elegant shawl and bought it. We came home around noon and had the remainder of the pizza I had brought home from my birthday “party” at work. We just laid around in the afternoon, waiting to see if Salmons would want to go to the Shindig on the Green in Asheville. They came by and were too exhausted to go. They had spent the day at the Biltmore mansion. Walking around slowly wears me out too. We asked around the neighborhood for someone to go with us and found one of the widows, Anna Sawyer, who could go. We were there at 7 and stayed until 9. We had to face the sun for the first hour and learned where to sit if we go again. We had also taken sodas, a small portion of salami and some cheese so we had something to eat and drink. We saw the best clogging group we have ever seen there. They were in sync with their tapping at all times. There were also several groups. Each group were allowed to play two numbers. We also danced on the grass along with 100 other couples. We were home by 9:30.
