relaxing day

Monday we walked early and got ready to go to lunch. I had won a $10 gift certificate to a small bakery shop downtown that serves great sandwiches, but it is closed Mondays. We went to the Underwood cafe near here and then downtown and all around looking for oval carpet and Vera Bradley knock-off purses. I also took my letter of “resignation” to Taco Bell. Actually, it focused on what I expect to happen if I should decide to return to work next summer. We went to the library for computer purposes. We returned home for tilapia for dinner. Some friends had brought us some vegetables including okra that Evelyn fried as a side. We did the dishes and then walked around the loop twice. The weather in the evenings have become cool and pleasant, something we have been awaiting. We watched some of Monday night football and the Cubs and Braves. Of course it was early to bed because of work tomorrow. The bonus: payday. The added bonus: this is the day the window washer comes so I don’t have to wash them.
