Back in the Valley

Thursday was a leisurely rising because we wanted to avoid the rush hour traffic. I went to the nearby McDonalds and got coffee for me and hot water for Evelyn to use for hot chocolate. We were already hooked up and got right out onto 281 and whizzed right through town. We looked at the hotels near the Alamodome because we might go to the Alamo Bowl if Purdue gets invited. We drove to Three Rivers and stopped to make a can of soup for lunch. We continued and arrived in Weslaco around 4. We immediately began to unpack the coach. Evelyn is ready to sell it so we might try to go to a local consignment RV lot early next week. I would like to sell the coach and Saturn as a package because they all go together. It would seem to be a good proposition if I were looking to buy one. The mounting iron is attached and a tow bar is included. We were very pleased that the weather is very temperate. It is to be only 73 for a high tomorrow. We will try to finish unpacking tomorrow so we can move the coach out of the way. Our neighbors need to back out of their driveway and it is tight for them. We also have the normal amount of weeds to deal with in our small garden and in the front of the house. I saw a few of our friends in the hall when I went to contribute our summer’s worth of can tabs to the collection we make for the Ronald McDonald House. We watched some TV but could only get pictures from the antenna, and they were black and white. I called Direct TV today and scheduled a reconnection for Saturday afternoon. I want to watch Purdue play Indiana but failed to call far enough in advance to get them to connect it Friday. I will have to find someone who will let me watch in their house. There are a couple of Purdue fans in this park.
