medicine run
Thursday we had an important mission. Evelyn needed to have some potassium so we ate breakfast (she had her parfait) and drove to the Wal-Mart on Lebanon Pike. It took much longer than we anticipated, but we did finally get there. The prescription was in their system so we were able to get it. We had to wait for half an hour, so we shopped around for other things. Evelyn found a blouse she had been looking for, and I found a golf glove. We left there and went to a local Kroger store for sodas on sale. We considered getting some hazelnut/poppy seed bread. We didn’t because we learned that there are Kroger stores in Sugarland, TX--a suburb of Houston we travel through on our way to the Valley. We came back and finished more leftovers before our daily nap. We dressed for the evening and walked to a local restaurant called John A’s. We shared a dinner and waited for the live entertainment to begin at 8. It was a pretty good band and the area in the aisle of the place was big enough for us to dance. There were even as many as 4 couples dancing at once. We had a good time and a good meal. We also decided to go to the Friday night Opry tomorrow because we knew more of the bluegrass performers that would be there then. We came home and enjoyed a good night’s sleep. The bed is firmer than either of us like but doesn’t seem to keep us awake.
