Big party
Tuesday was busy. I went to my doctor’s appointment at 8:20 but didn’t see anyone until 9:05. I was upset and didn’t try to conceal it from anyone. I decided to ask the doctor to set up another sleep study so I could try a sleep machine. He agreed to next Thursday. He also gave me another prescription for nose spray. I came home and we tried to go to see Michelle Stillwell, the Bauknecht’s daughter. They were not anywhere to be found. We went on to Gonzales Hamburgers for lunch. We waited an hour but enjoyed the burgers and onion rings. We returned home and took naps before preparing for the “meet and greet” party. More than 20 people came and we had a great time. John, one of our accompanists at worship, brought his keyboard and played background for us. We also spent several minutes enjoying a singalong. Evelyn had made wonderful snacks and I served wine and beer. Everyone had a magnificent time. We were blessed with these couples: Schwinghammers, Cops, Zopfis, Moores, Hamels, Reddels, Fremonts, Winstons, Jones, and Kruses, including Don and Janice Waters, Stan, Linda and us. The Crouches brought their chairs but didn’t stay because they were sick. We cleaned up the dishes and then went out for dinner. We ended up in Alamo at Willie’s Barbecue. None of us needed to eat anything but all did. Stan and Linda wanted ribs and enjoyed them. We came home and went to bed at the regular time.
