Blessed Ressurection Day!

Resurrection Day is always a blessing. I greeted people by saying. “Happy Easter! He is risen!” Most people either didn’t hear or ignored me. One couple, however, did respond positively. Of course all the people at worship responded correctly: “He is risen indeed! Alleluia”. I really love the people in our worship congregation. We had 54 in attendance and, since this was the final worship for many of them (many are heading back north this week), they were especially generous in their giving. The offering was $141. I also told them that I would be returning next year but would be gone for three Sundays in January and February because we are going on a cruise to South America. We came home and Evelyn made meatballs and macaroni for our lunch. We had not received any invitation from anyone for dinner, and we wanted to eat down our larder. We then took a nap and then went for a bike ride to talk with the co-chair couple for the dances next year. We tried to come up with some themes for the dances. We will work on the details via e-mail in the summer. We tried to watch some of the Purdue women’s basketball game but found it preempted. I ended up watching CSI while Evelyn talked with her brother and wife. She learned that Justin is in Iraq and will be there until November of December. I called and made an appoint to change oil next week. I want to change it before we leave because we will be far many miles over the change mileage.
