Holy Saturday

Saturday was sleep in day. We didn’t sleep as late as usual, however. We got up and Evelyn had to bake some cupcakes for the lunch at 11. The kitchen band was having a wind up carry-in lunch. We drove the golf cart and had a lunch that was over by noon. I came back thinking Purdue might be playing on TV. Part of the game was broadcast but not until after 4. I watched what I could. Even though Purdue lost to Xavier, I was very impressed. If the team stays together, they have the possibility of becoming national champions in the next few years. We drove to the Progreso bridge because I wanted to buy some Bailey’s Irish Creme, but the store was closed before we got there. We came back and stopped to see if Lois Iverson had plans for Easter dinner. She was not there so we left a note. We came home and washed the car, inside and out. It was nearly dark. We ate some warmed up turkey we had saved from months ago. It was Cajun turkey and was still delicious. We watched a little TV and went to bed. One of the shows was about the Reformation, featuring Martin Luther. We are ready to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord tomorrow.
