A wonderful supper
I came home about 5:00 AM after being unhooked from the nodes used for measuring my sleep habits. I rode my bicycle home and then cleaned the “glue” out of my hair. I was concerned that I would get things on my pillow. I slept until 8:30. Evelyn had gone to exercise and I had showered before she came home. We ate our oatmeal and then went to Pep Boys to buy oil and filter because it was specially priced and I need to change oil before we go north. We also went to a fruit market to order some onions for two weeks from now. We had a long talk with the owner we had met at the stock show Monday, and he gave us two onions to sample before we bought 50 lbs. We went to the HEB on the way home for some supplies and then came home. We had a sandwich for lunch and went to the hospital for our tour of duty. We worked at our stations and went to Lionell and Fran Moore’s for supper. I had a good time. The stir fry supper was delicious and the beer flowed freely. Evelyn wanted to go to the St. Patrick’s dance but everyone was having a good time talking and we didn’t leave until 9:15. We went to the hall to get the mail, and Evelyn was disappointed that we didn’t go to the dance. I was disappointed that there were only 38 people dancing. Something else must have drawn people from the dance because more people like to dance than were there. We came home and I watched the Purdue/Illinois Big Ten tournament game I had taped earlier. Purdue lost in overtime.
