unloading the trailer

We slept until 10 this morning. We were really tired from all that riding. I had called the water department last night and left a message asking that they turn the water on early this morning and they did. We had to wait to shower because the water heater was off, but it heated by the time we were ready to eat. The first thing I had done last night was put the meat we had brought frozen solid from the hotel. It was still hard. It was nearly 11:30 so we decided to skip breakfast and eat my leftover catfish for lunch. There was a lot of it, and we were both stuffed. I caught the mail babe and asked her to bring the mail she had collected tomorrow. We worked all afternoon unloading the trailer. We found many things we thought had been forgotten or misplaced. I finally got to the onions in the front of the trailer and, as I feared, they had not been ventilated enough and some had begun to spoil. We worked at cleaning them but didn’t finish. We will dip them in Clorox to kill any mold that might have developed and then wrap them in panty hose to keep them from each other. It began to rain tonight and there is a prediction of snow and 40 degree temperatures for Sunday. We should have returned to TX from AL where it is still warm. We will have to tough it out in this weather. We plan to go to a marriage encounter “spiral” tomorrow evening so we have to go to the grocery to get something to make into dessert for the meal before the spiral. I called another local couple and we will drive or follow them at 3:00 tomorrow. I also called Shirley Casterline and asked to park our trailer at their cabin for the summer. She thinks there is room. Evelyn talked with the Beelis for a while and I tried to find the phone number to talk to Juno about the problem with corrupt files. I also have to call Direct TV again. I called last night and they fixed the problem with our bedroom receiver, but, when I hooked the one up in the living room, I get no picture. I have to call them when we have more minutes on our cell phone.
