Arrival of some of the family
We slept a bit late and then I went to the restaurant to get some milk for Evelyn’s cereal. I heated my boudin in the slow cooker for my breakfast. We looked around and found the spa. Evelyn walked on a treadmill while I walked back to the room to get my jacket. It was a cool day and had stormed and rained during the night and until mid morning. I went back and took Evelyn to the poolside restaurant where we ordered a Cajun chicken wrap to share. We took it back to the room so we could have some of our drinks, a beer for me and diet Pepsi for Evelyn. We enjoyed it and were full. We waited for Tom and Stacy for a while and Evelyn drifted off to sleep. I went to the trailer and found her black sweatshirt. I also went to alert the gate that the family would be coming. On my way, I saw our car being driven out of the lot. I stopped the valet driver and made him realize he had made a mistake. I only wanted to know where it was being relocated. I returned and had a series of phone conversations with Tom who was lost in finding the hotel. He finally arrived but without Stacy. She had misplaced her driver license and couldn’t clear security to get on the plane. We went to the desk to check in while Evelyn and Olivia went to enjoy the afternoon high tea. Peter and Tom went to their room to pack in while Olivia came with us. She walked around on the beach until Tom and Peter came. We decided to drive to Fairhope for dinner at Gambino’s, an Italian restaurant recommended by Connie at the Alabama welcome center. We had hoped Stacy could fly to Mobile tomorrow but learned it would cost $847. After searching for deals and finding one for $355, Stacy decided not to come because of the inconvenient flight times. We will miss her these next days but will see her when we go to Atlanta to see Tom and Olivia in a play at their church. They will be in Fiddler on the Roof at the end of April.
