Dance on the street

We were some of the first awake. We made coffee and started the French toast for breakfast. Everyone finally came to breakfast around 9. We all had enough to eat. The kids and I played a game of Egyptian Ambush until 11. Pieder, the boys and I went off to the Open Door. On the way I stopped to see if my pants were dry cleaned. They were clean but quite wrinkled so I left them. We went on to serve. Pieder and I served drinks and the boys served meals. There was a large group today and few volunteers. We completed our jobs and began the clean up. The boys worked quite diligently as did I. Pieder went outside to witness to and pray with some of the “clients”. We finished our work at 2 and left for the grocery outlet for more food items. We found bananas at 25 cents a pound and strawberries at 50 cents. I bought too many things but they were well priced. I even found some chicken breasts for 89 cents a pound. We barely have freezer space for them but will like them sometime this summer. We came home and watched some of the Cubs/White Sox debacle. We had our pot roast for supper and then went downtown to the street dance. We had a good time and danced with the girls. In fact we messed up the entire dance by dancing with them when we weren’t supposed to. Evelyn began our arrival by having intense stomach pain. She even vomited just after we arrived. Praise God, she got better. We came home and watched some of a Revolutionary War program I had recorded. We went to bed late getting ready for the big day tomorrow.
