Some of the family arrives

We were up at 6 again but this time by design. We drove to Hendersonville to get the motor home from our friends. I had made a way to use the safety cables instead of the chains I had bought. It was easier to hook up than we had thought. We were back on the road by 10 and home by 10:45. Just that little bit made me realize why I enjoyed all the years of travel. It also made Evelyn remember all the trouble it was. Cest le gere! We parked the coach in the neighbor’s yard and began loading it. We had planned to haul much of the goods in the car but were able to find space in the coach. We took a nap and then went to the church to have our picture taken for the new church directory. The system malfunctioned and we weren’t able to choose one of the shots. We just told the photographer to choose the one she liked best. We went to Wal-Mart, hoping to get the medicine for Evelyn. It still wasn’t ready and we couldn’t wait because Emily had left a message that they would arrive at 4, two hours earlier than they had thought. We still beat them home. They arrived and unpacked their luggage. We set up a badminton set and tried to play a little. But, praise God, a wind and some rain came up and we had to go inside. Evelyn had prepared pork chops and scalloped potatoes for supper. We prayed a prayer of thanksgiving for the safe arrival of the family. Andrew cleaned up the kitchen and then we took a walk up the mountain. We had started to just take meat scraps up to the dogs that live close. But we just kept going. We came back and Evelyn took some of the kids to the Rogers to meet them and get the French toast we had taken to put in their freezer. We came in and played dominoes with the kids and then the girls and Stephen went to the motor home to spend the night. We have enjoyed the family so far.
