Getting ready.

Tuesday we finished our walk around 10. I went to Taco Bell to ask them to order an extra box of candy so the family can throw it out during the Independence Day parade. We will be gone with the boys during that time. We came home and I cleaned up the carport while Evelyn baked some muffins out of the bananas that were going fast. We had lunch and then I made the barbecue sauce we will use for the brisket to be served next Saturday. We rested and then Evelyn made the macaroni and cheese for tonight’s VBS. We took it and served it and came back home. We still haven’t found any more brisket yet but keep stopping at the grocery. We have been promised more by Thursday. We walked around our loop a couple of times and watched TV. Stan called from CA, thinking we had been to my 50th reunion. For someone who is so politically astute, he can't remember many personal things. He even thought my birthday had passed. Wow! He called before 9 PM here (5 PM there), and I was tempted to hang up and call him back. I will do that next time if he calls too early. Evelyn did get to talk to Linda and her conversation amazed me as to how busy we are. I also tried to make plane reservations for our trip to South America so we can ride on the same plane as our friends we plan to go with.
