More fun at Wurstfest

We got up and had breakfast with the Bauknechts. They told us they were not staying for tonight’s Wurstfest. Alice had not danced as much as she would like and the music was not all German. One problem was that she had taken a purse and someone had to always watch it. We were sad that they had made that decision but were blessed by it. We didn’t want to sit around the room so we drove to Landa Park next to Schlitterbahn. It was closed for the season but we walked around it and the Comal River trail. It was 12:30 when we left there. We were expecting Tom and Luann Jones in the afternoon so we wanted something light for lunch. We went to the Riesenhaus Restaurant and shared a delicious Jagerschnitzel plate. I had not been so excited about a meal in quite some time. We were so taken with it that we ordered the same thing when we took them to dinner. They arrived at 4 and we went to the swimming pool here and had some wine and boudin balls as an appetizer. We sold Tom and Luann the tickets left by the Bauknechts and went to the Wurstfest. We had a great time. The music was better and the crowd was a bit smaller. We had to come home earlier than we would have, but they had to go home to let their dogs out. I would like to have a dog but wouldn’t want to be tied down like that. We will leave tomorrow morning and hope to make it to the Valley in one day, but if we don’t it won’t make a big difference.
