missed appointment

We walked around 9 and then spent about an hour at the hotel uploading some pictures. We didn’t return home until almost 11. We spent some time talking with Doris before coming in for lunch. Evelyn decided to mop the tile surfaces while I went to Doris’ to use her phone. I had to call the IRS to talk about mailing a payment for our back taxes. We owe $842 instead of the $11,000+ that they originally said we owed. Evelyn also watered the plants outdoors. I also called Canton about a Laundromat with machines large enough to hold our sleeping bag. I found one that will work. I also tried to call John Greene to see if he wanted to play golf this afternoon but got no answer all day. I came home, and we both took showers. We also stripped the bed linen for washing and remade the bed. She also did some other laundry. During the late afternoon it poured rain making it impossible to play if we had planned to. I also received a call from the doctor, reminding me that I had missed an appointment this morning. They graciously made another for Thursday morning at 9:30. After supper a sudden wind blew our trash can lids out into the yard. We heard a thump and had to pick them up. Strangely, it didn’t rain anymore then. I watched the Cubs while Evelyn did some repair sewing in the evening.
