German dinner.
We went to church at OSLC because we still had some sauerbraten to deliver. We returned home and had lunch by noon. Then we called Tom and Luanne to see if they could come early to enjoy some wine before going to the dinner. We had a great time visiting for an hour. They are such great friends. We can't really figure out why they like to be with us--2 much older people. We really enjoy them. We went to the dinner where we helped by serving the meal. After the dinner, we helped clean up the kitchen and the eating area. It took over an hour, and Evelyn got very tired. We learned this afternoon that our friends of last year, the Rogers, have lost their job. Actually It was Kathy who had been working. I bought a ticket to the German dinner for Jim who loves German food. I am sure they are having financial problems but wouldn't want us to know it. Therefore, I asked another friend, Frieda, to deliver the carry-out dinner to him. I hope he accepted it graciously. Evelyn had a long talk with Rosalie and then went to bed. I watched some of Colts/Titans football game and then the news. It is supposed to be cold the next week. This makes us begin to want to leave for the deep south.
