Heading home
We were up at 7:30 again but only in spite of Evelyn’s lack of sleep. We loaded our items into the car and trailer. We said goodbye to Don and Janice, filled up with fuel and drove toward Seguin for pecans. We stopped at a store that sold pecans, and we bought a pound of pieces. We drove on to the Belmont farm where we usually stop. The store said theirs were from Chicago and we wanted local. We bought 5 pounds from there and went on to the Shiner brewery. I bought 6 bottles of the 100 year anniversary bottles and tried to find 1 to replace the one I don’t have from the 98th year. They don’t have any and suggested I try e-bay. We left there and had lunch in Victoria. We drove on to the Valley and arrived at 5:15. We learned that the water line in back of our house is broken and there was a big trench of water running out the back of our shed. The plumber was to come back tomorrow to find the leak. I backed the trailer into our carport and began unloading. We worked until 9:30 and went to bed. We had hardly accomplished anything because we had brought so much with us.
