The best night of Wurstfest

We went downtown but didn't find any bargains that meant anything to us. Don and I went for a cup of coffee while they shopped. We went to the Friesenhaus again for our lunch. Don knew an old college roommate and wanted to spend some time visiting with him. We went to Hobby Lobby to look for some material. We didn't find any and brought Don back to the motel. We tried to take a nap but neither of us could sleep. At 4:30 we went out by the pool for snacks and beverages before going to the Wurstfest for the last time this year. When we arrived at 6 there was not a large crowd and we saw a group we enjoyed from last year, The Funbunch. After the hour show, we went to the Wursthalle to dance to another good band and then went back to the grosse zelt to see the Sauerkrauts. They always put on a great show. Back to the main hall for food and to listen to Jimmy Sturr and his band. It was a great show too as always. The most delightful thing was that the college kids had just begun to roll in. We were able to dance more than last year. The place was just beginning to fill up when we left at 9:30 when we had been leaving. We came back and enjoyed a funnel cake before retiring. It was another glorious cool evening.
