Christmas concert

Our worship attendance continues to slowly grow. We had 38 in attendance this morning. We also picked up a pianist so John won’t have to be there every Sunday. I was only satisfied with the message but have felt the hand of the Lord in the preparation. We went to Mercedes to sing with the choir during the late service and came home for lunch. In the afternoon, the Hamels came to look at our old refrigerator. We sold it to them for $100. It is worth more but would cost a bit to fix the ice maker. They don’t need one. We will use this money to buy a small “dorm” refrigerator to leave in NC next spring. I wanted to check on the Purdue score from last night and was shocked to learn from the website that they had won! I then remembered that I had recorded the game so was able to see the rest of the last half where they came back to win. We took a nap and then drove to Rio Hondo to the Baptist Church to listen to their Christmas choral concert. It is always good but was fantastic this year. We meet our friends, Don and Janice Waters, there because she sings in the choir. We all went to dinner at Dennys after it was over around 8. We had a nice short visit and then returned home around 9. I watched some TV and then went to bed before publishing this blog.
