flowers in the liviing room

Evelyn took me to the golf course and I got a T time. We called Phil and he came. It was about 9 when we played. I had 3 good holes which would win me the batting title (.333) but was really terrible on the other 6. We finished our 9 holes early so Phil took me to the church to meet Evelyn. While at the course, I bought a membership for the season--$350—and made plans to play with Phil 2 or 3 times each week. Evelyn was in the Bible study for another half an hour so I just messed around the church grounds and found a couple of rocks to bring for our mulch outline. We left there and drove downtown for the gathering for the national day of prayer. There were only about 40 people there, but many churches had their own gathering. We came home for lunch and then worked on the new display on the entertainment center. Evelyn had gone to WalMart after leaving me at the golf course and found some window boxes for planting the artificial flowers she found yesterday. I cut the plastic coated wire stems to size and she arranged them. It looks nice and I will try to publish a picture of it. We rested until supper after which we went to walk around the lake for the first time since arrival. We were surprised to see how many old, large trees had fallen during the winter storms. We must have counted 8. Phil and I had counted as many on the golf course earlier. We came home and prepared for Phil and Joan to come to play hand and foot. Phil had never played before but did very well because we beat the ladies handily. Actually this is a game requiring little skill. If you get the cards, you win; if not, you lose. I stayed up watching a show I had taped in Texas and went to bed around 12.
