Relaxing

We couldn’t sleep so we finally just got up and went for our walk by 7:30. After walking, we went to town to buy some roses for our friend, Rolene, who is recovering from a pacemaker installation. We also got some supplies for Evelyn’s cake for tomorrow. We came home for a light breakfast and shower. I watered the plants while Evelyn ironed some clothes. We then had soup for lunch. We had to use sour kraut instead of shredded cabbage, so the soup was too sour. We will add sugar to it next time. We were both tired so we took a nap. We went off to choir practice, but, when we came out, we found our battery dead. Jo gave us a jump to get home. We then went to see Mitzi and Bill. She is in hospice care but has less pain than yesterday. We came home for a light supper and then watched some of the Cubs game.
Without offense to the families we love, it is sure nice to be here alone again. We can relax and act our ages. :-)
