Sunday
Attendance this morning was somewhat improved over last week, but some of the former loyal attendees are still going elsewhere. Bonny had told of the flautist’s intention to play at this morning’s service at Immanuel, so we went there. He added to the service. We returned home and talked about going to Riverside to dance but didn’t. I worked some but then talked with the Hispanic neighbor, Joe Llamas. I had loaned him our Amtrak book and he returned it. He teaches at 3 different schools around the Valley. He also has a young turtle in the small zone between our fences. I decided to finish trimming the remainder of the bougainvillea that has been killed during the recent cold weather. Have you ever examined bougainvillea? It is full of thorns. I had to be careful moving it from the bucket it grows in. I returned to the house and made popcorn for supper. I had not taken a nap, so I was very tired and went to bed at 8:30. Evelyn soon followed. Around midnight I began coughing and move to the couch in the Texas room so Evelyn could sleep.
