more golf

The humidity and wind were both low today. We went to the Bible study that was earlier than usual. It was not the best one of the series but a blessing nonetheless. I went to get Joe and we drove to The Palms golf course. We rented a riding cart and went off to play 18. I did much better than yesterday but still didn’t break 100. I really like Joe and had a good time. We were both tired when we went home. I don’t know why since we just drove the entire course. Perhaps hitting the ball so many times is what wore us out. I was home in time for a short nap before the Purdue/Illinois basketball game. Purdue was pretty lackadaisical at first but rallied and finally won the game. I don’t think they can finish higher than 2nd in the Big Ten because there is no one left who can beat Ohio State. We spent another evening at home preparing for Friday’s party with the volunteers from the hospital. We had spent much of the day cleaning the screen porch. It doesn’t stay very clean because of the dust blown in by the wind that blows here constantly.
