more good smoked meat.
We went to exercise this morning and were worked a bit harder than usual. I was a bit overdressed because of the cool weather outside. We still had an hour before we were scheduled to go to the Open Door, so I took Evelyn to the library to get some books while I went to get the umbrella I had left at Pisquale’s last night. I also went to the Folkmoot office to get some brochures to distribute. On the way back I saw a motor home, so I went to get Evelyn and took her back to look at it. It was more than we want to spend and didn’t have a good sleeping arrangement. We went on to serve and found that I was not needed to give the devotion. The man who did it was great. We were finished by 2 and were tired. We went for our daily trip to the grocery for the final items for the casserole and came home. I then went to work setting up the smoker so I could smoke our country style ribs and put the hamburgers in the smoker too. I had never done that before. While the meat was smoking, I cut some Jimmy Dean sausage and Evelyn fried it down and finished assembling the casseroles. She then rested for a while before putting the hamburgers together for supper. We then went to choir practice. After that we went to the church basement and prepared some of the things for tomorrow’s brunch: setting tables, readying the coffee pots, etc. Home to watch some of the Cubs game. They finally won.
