Cleaning up
Neither of us slept well last night, but we were up and off to Silver Sneakers at 9. It was a good workout, and I sold 2 more tickets for the German dinner. If things go as planned, I will have sold more than 20 tickets. The money goes to 3 charities to help people in the mountains. We had to run a few errands and then came home. It was yesterday that we spent much of the day driving on dusty gravel roads. I promised to wash the car today. I kept my promise and finished just before lunch. The car looks better than it has for several weeks. We are trying to clean out the larder and refrigerator. We have only 30 days left before we leave for the winter. We have completed our work at the hospital and have only 2 more days at the Open Door. We rested most of the afternoon because we were tired. The weather has been quite temperate lately although increasing the heat index slightly. We are to have rain tomorrow and the temperature is to be lower. We really enjoy the autumn temperatures. This makes me wonder why we are driving to a warmer climate for the winter. In fact, Evelyn has made a passing comment that she is tired of making this trip each year. Perhaps she would change her thoughts after experiencing even the mild winters that we have in this area. We may never know.
