A normal Friday

Friday was usual.  We went with several others to sing and perform for the shut ins at the Valley Grande Manor.  It is called a rehab center but is little more than a nursing home.  We had more fun than usual.  One of the women with us got up and greeted many of the residents, 2 ladies sang a duet, Evelyn and I did a polka and I sang “Celito Lindo” in Spanish.  The audience seemed more lively today than usual.  We came home for lunch and went to the hospital for the afternoon.  I did something different today.  A woman came in complaining how far she had to walk from the parking lot.  She seemed to be genuinely struggling, so I went to get her car and drove it up to the door for her.  She had picked it up yesterday.  It was a Ram4 and smelled very new.  We planned to go to dinner at Applebee's in Harlingen with Paul and Donna Zopfi.  I wanted to go to a local restaurant called Pecker’s, but they had planned go to HRL before we worked.  We had a good meal and visit before coming home by 9.  Tomorrow we plan to SKYPE with Andrew.
