Cleaning the house.
Thursday I took Evelyn to her Bible study at 10 and went on to town to run some errands. I got some Australian Dream and Blue Emu for Evelyn to rub on her leg. I also found some more Muller (a delicious imported yogurt and fruit) and bought 24 containers for our breakfasts. I went to the library and got Evelyn some large print fictions she wanted to read. I brought them home and put one of the boxes of yogurt into Gary and Linda’s refrigerator. I returned to get Evelyn after noon and brought her home to finish our sauerbraten for lunch. I then began to clean house for our party Saturday. I had to do almost all things because Evelyn’s back and sciatica is very painful. I had to vacuum the carpets and linoleum before mopping it. I had to shake rugs and dust some of the high places. Evelyn rested but will do the lower tables tomorrow. I even had time to take a nap before going to the Folkmoot volunteer appreciation dinner. We met some of the other volunteers and enjoyed a Mexican dinner with them. Maria Presley, an woman of Mexican descent, catered the event. I am either spoiled or losing my taste buds, but I didn’t think the food was very good. Perhaps I will get some good stuff when we arrive in the Valley. Tomorrow we will finish preparing the food for Saturday.
