serving and dancing

This is Bill Smith and his cousin (a professional singer) playing for a dance at Stonebridge RV Park in Maggie Valley, NC.
We arose around 8 Monday and had breakfast. Then we left for our work at the Open Door soup kitchen at Frog Level in Waynesville. The Georges family volunteered to help. They dropped us off and came back after all the meals had been served. I guess they were misdirected as to the time frame. Regardless, they came back and worked hard at helping in the clean up. I ate my lunch there but no one else did so they came home and had tacos for lunch around 2. Olivia had made a date with her friend Annah to meet at the recreation center for swimming. Stacy took Tom, Peter and her to meet them and then returned to work on the banners for tomorrow’s parade. They will decorate the Saturn. I went to the hotel to do computer work. Everyone came home and we had hamburgers that I had grilled last week. Then Tom, Peter and I went to Stonebridge RV to hear Bill Smith and his cousin play. Our ladies came just before 8. We stayed until the dance ended at 9. We were able to dance many times. We invited Bill and Pat for dinner next Tuesday and came home. It had been threatening rain but had held off until the dance was over. We came home and had some popcorn before retiring.

Thank you for changing the wording. Even better might have been this: They dropped us off and came back, but most of the diners had come early in the lunch hour and finished quite quickly that day. Given a 2 hour lunch timeframe (noon-2pm), and we showed up around 12:15, I think it was the diners who front-loaded the time. Also, you said "all" of the meals had been served. Not quite true! There were at least a half dozen who trickled in over the course of the next hour.
Anyhow, we had a great time with you. Thank you for the hospitality!
