Eating out
Wednesday was golf day for me. Jack Roberts and I went to the Palms at Mid-Valley. We rode in a cart because my friend, the golf pro there, had sold me ten plays for $90 last year. He included a cart free, a $60 value. We had a good time, although we both played poorly. We were finished by 11 and came home for lunch. We rested after lunch and went to the hall for the buffet. Different groups, usually residents of certain states, form, plan menus and prepare a meal. This week was a group from Michigan that prepared hamburgers and hot dogs. The charge is $3.50 per person. After this one there was a couple from Branson that performed for $3.00 per person. Neither of us was impressed much with the performance. They were only acceptable. I guess they were worth $3 but not much more. We have heard other groups we thought were better for the same amount. We came home and then took a walk. It was a beautiful, cool evening, and I wanted to take advantage of it. We returned home and watched the President’s speech. I certainly hope this new plan works. He did a good job of outlining the extreme danger our entire way of life.
