The beginning of another gift from God.
When I wakened, Evelyn was already gone. It was 8:30. I struggled to get up and showered. She came home and I began working on making the orders of service for the month of January. I have to select the hymns and the responsive readings as well as the scriptures. We had lunch of a salad and leftover cabbage salad. In the afternoon I continued working while Evelyn read a book, The Edge of Eternity. Around 3:30 we went for a long bike ride into town. We must have ridden around 3 miles. It was a good day because there was little traffic. We usually take some back streets whenever we ride that way. We also spent much of the morning trying to understand the GPS system. We made some progress but I tried to find someone here to help. I could not find anyone. I had to call Tom Jones around 9, and he helped me quite a bit. We spent the evening watching Pirates of the Carribean: the Curse of the Black Pearl. We had seen it before but enjoyed it again. Earlier in the day Stacy called and told us about the things happening in Georgia. They did the most clever thing last night. Around 8:00, they set the clocks ahead to read 11 PM. When it reached midnight (9 PM) the kids celebrated and being satisfied, went to bed. That is why we wakened Tom last night. We are amazed at their creativity.
